The Year Long program begins with six weekly to biweekly sessions; students then graduate to less frequently monthly and quarterly "check-in" sessions over the course of a year. Here's a look at the first six session agenda:

Session One: Emotions.

Take a look at your core beliefs about money and messages learned during childhood. Discuss effects on spending habits today.

Session Two and Three: Fact Finding.

What happened? Where does all the money go? Do a financial overview.

Session Four: Look at the Whole Picture.

Note if there is a gap between expenses and income. Are regular expenses less or more than variable ones? Make some decisions about the general structure of your budget. Begin setting up next month's budget.

Session Five: Details.

Fill in the details of the budget. Negotiate categories. Prioritize. Discuss cash basis, envelope system, credit cards and more.

Session Six: Maintenance.

Discuss how to keep up with your monthly budget and how to do a weekly visit of your budget. Discuss successes and problems that have occurred since our first meeting. Decide on next steps and how to ensure that budget can be maintained in monthly and quarterly schedule.
